Pigmented Lesions

HOW DOES THE PIGMENTED LESIONS TREATMENT WORK?

Pigmented Lesions Pigmented LesionsThe laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deep into skin tissue where it delivers a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat to the Pigmented lesion.

The therapeutic laser energy is absorbed by the targeted melanin leaving the surrounding tissue safe. Over a 5-14 day period the treated pigmented lesion typically becomes crusted and begins to sloth off naturally.

HOW DOES IT FEEL?

Some patients may feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse, sometimes described as the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. This discomfort resolves in several seconds. For some patients, a topical anesthetic may be used prior to treatment. Be sure to discuss this with your Laser Technician.

HOW MANY TREATMENT SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The number of Pigmented Lesions sessions will vary from person to person. Some clients will only require 1 sessions to lighten or remove a pigmented lesion while others may require more to successfully remove the lesion. Many factors impact the efficacy of individual laser treatments, including the severity of the condition being treated.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?

The intended treatment area should not be exposed to sunlight or tanning booth light for 14 days prior to treatment. Temporary tanning or pigmentation cream and products must be completely removed and exfoliated prior to treatment.
